1. Read Instructions Carefully

Before filling the online form, read all details and instructions in the CEN notice carefully to avoid mistakes.

2. Create an Account

Visit the official RRB website and click on the link to create an account. If you already have an RRB account from previous recruitments, use the same login details.

You must have a valid mobile number and active email ID to receive OTPs. Once submitted, you cannot change details entered while creating your account (including mobile number and email). Enter details carefully.

Identity Verification (Recommended):

• Use DigiLocker Aadhaar to verify your identity. It helps with faster and easier verification later.
• If you use another photo ID, your verification process will take longer and be stricter.

3. General Guidelines for Online Application

• Official Portal Only: Apply only through the official RRB website.
• Accurate Information: Fill all details correctly and double-check before submitting.
• No Edits After Submission: Once submitted, you cannot edit or correct your application.
• Exam Language: Medium of Exam: Choose one from English, Hindi, or 13 regional languages (Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu). Questions will appear in your selected language and English.
• Zone Preferences: Select your zone preferences carefully.
• Single Application: Do not apply to more than one RRB or submit multiple applications. Doing so will lead to disqualification.
• Fee Payment: After submitting, pay the exam fee using only official payment methods before the last date. Avoid fake websites.
• Confirmation: Application is accepted only after successful fee payment. You'll receive confirmation via email and SMS.

4. Live Photo Capture

You don't need to upload a photo. The system will capture a live photo during the application.

• Use a webcam or mobile front camera.
• Wear dark-colored (non-white) clothes for better contrast.
• Photo Requirements:
  • Camera is at eye level.
  • Face is centered, visible, and neutral (no smile/frown).
  • No part of your head or face is cut off.
  • No cap, mask, or glasses.
• You can preview and retake the photo until you are satisfied.
• Important: Don't use a printed or digital old photo — such applications will be rejected. Your appearance during exams must match this photo. Keep your eyes fully open; otherwise, the photo won't be captured.

5. Documents to Upload

Keep these ready for upload during online application:

Signature

• Sign yourself using black ink on white paper.
• Signature must be in running handwriting (not block or capital letters).
• It should be clear, legible, and visible.
• File Requirements:
  • Format: JPG/JPEG
  • File size: 30–49 KB
  • Minimum resolution: 100 DPI
  • Dimensions: at least 140x60 pixels or fit within box size 35mm x 20mm

Rejection Criteria for Signature:

• Background is not white
• Ink is not black
• Signature is in block letters or unclear
• Image is incomplete, blurred, or missing
• Thumb impression is used instead of a signature

Important: Your signature must match the one used during exams, document verification, and medical examination.

SC/ST Certificate (for Free Train Pass)

• Only for SC/ST candidates who want a free railway travel pass.
• Upload the latest and valid SC/ST certificate in PDF format.
• File size must be under 400 KB and the document must be clear and readable.
