How to Apply

1. Read Instructions First

   Before filling the online application form, carefully read the complete CEN notification to understand all details and avoid mistakes.

2. Creating an Account

   1. Go to the official RRB website.
   2. Click on the link to create an account for this recruitment.
   3. If you already have an account from a previous RRB notification, you can use the same login details.
   4. You must have a valid mobile number and active email ID to receive OTPs.
   5. Once your account is created, you cannot change any details (including mobile number and email), so enter everything carefully.

   Tip for Easy Verification:

   Use DigiLocker Aadhaar to verify your identity. It helps make the verification process faster and smoother.

   If you use any other ID, your application will go through stricter verification at every stage.

3. Filling the Online Application

   1. Use only the official RRB website link to apply.
   2. Fill all details accurately and check carefully before submitting.
   3. You cannot edit your application after submission.
   4. Choose your exam language from English, Hindi, or any of 13 regional languages (Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu).
   5. Do not submit multiple applications to different RRBs or the same RRB—this will lead to rejection and disqualification.
   6. After submission, proceed to pay the examination fee.
   7. Use only authorized payment methods and ensure payment is made before the last date. Avoid fake or unofficial websites.
   8. Your application will be accepted only after successful fee payment, and you'll get a confirmation via email and SMS.

4. Live Photo Capture Instructions

   You do not need to upload an old photo. The application system will capture your live photograph during form filling.

   • You can use a webcam or the front camera of your mobile phone.
   • Wear dark-colored (non-white) clothes for better contrast with the background.

   Steps for Capturing Your Photo:

   1. Make sure the camera is at eye level.
   2. Sit or stand straight, look directly at the camera, and keep a neutral expression.
   3. Your entire face should be visible and centered within the frame.
   4. Avoid caps, masks, or glasses.
   5. You can preview and retake the photo until satisfied.
   6. Applications with unclear or invalid photos will be rejected.
   7. Your appearance during the recruitment process must match this photo.
   8. Do not upload a photo of a printed or digital picture — such applications will be rejected.
   9. Keep your eyes fully open when the photo is taken.

5. Documents to Upload

   You'll need to upload the following documents during online application:

   • Your Signature (in JPG/JPEG format)
   • SC/ST Certificate (only if you want a free train travel pass, in PDF format)

   Signature Upload Guidelines

   • Sign using black ink on white paper — it must be your own signature.
   • Signature should be in running handwriting (not in block or capital letters).
   • It must be clear, visible, and properly scanned.

   Signature File Details:

   • Format: JPG/JPEG
   • Size: 30 KB – 49 KB
   • Resolution: Minimum 100 DPI
   • Dimensions: At least 140 × 60 pixels
   • It should fit neatly within a 35 mm × 20 mm box on the application form.

   Reasons for Rejection:

   • Non-white background
   • Ink color other than black
   • Signature in block or capital letters
   • Blurry or unclear signature
   • Incomplete or missing signature
   • Uploading the wrong image (e.g., photo instead of signature)
   • Using thumb impression instead of signature

   Note: Your signature must match during all stages — examination, document verification, medical exam, and appointment.

   SC/ST Certificate (For Free Train Travel Pass)

   • Only SC/ST candidates who wish to use the free railway travel pass need to upload this certificate.
   • The file must be in PDF format, under 400 KB, and clearly readable.
   • The certificate must be valid and up to date as of the application closing date.
